Construction: New Wall of Produce
Experience the Power of Produce with Central Wisconsin's largest wall of organic veggies. Sixteen selections such as cilantro, parsley, mustard greens, romaine lettuce, kale, beets and bunched carrots.

Construction: Three new tables with six chairs
We've new places to sit to eat your breakfast, lunch or late night soup or salad. We've new bistro style tables with six chairs (ok, so three chairs still need our signature red coat of paint) located at our front window. Plus the three tables can be pushed together for a family meal or an afternoon meeting. The seating is a bit cosy and we've seen all tables filled at the same time.

Construction: New window tables with four stools
Experience breakfast, lunch or late night soup or salad at a new table and stools with a nice view of Wausau's best looking streetscapes: the west side of the 600 Block of Third Street.

Website: New "Words" page
We've added a new link to words about food. For example, read a poem written about Easter cookies and nice words from two customers about cheese. We'll be adding more items and if you have suggestions or if you can write a nice poem or essay about food, please send a note.

Co-owner Kevin writes an essay about local food
One of our store co-owners, Kevin, wrote an essay about local food for a new Wausau blog called Citizen Wausau. The essay is also located on our new "Words" page. The article is well-documented with multiple links to a variety of nice reading.

New Case-to-go Program
We like to give you, the shopper, the best value for your money, so we're introducing our Case-to-go Program. Pre-order a full case of any item in the entire store, or an item that we don't currently stock but that we can find, and we'll give you a 10% discount on the entire case. We've trialed the program to several customers in the past months and they've enjoyed the service and the cost savings.

Mystery Wine Box
We like fun things at Downtown Grocey and our new Mystery Wine Box is our new favorite. For only $79.95 you'll receive an "exciting mixture of 12 bottles of domestic and imported wine and you must not peek prior to purchase." That's $6.67 per bottle and that's a great deal!

Organic Free-Range Turkeys
This year we're again featuring the tasty Organic Free-Range Turkeys from Mary Pitman of "Marys Turkeys" in Fresno, California. We sold-out last year, so please pre-order your turkey today! We've two size ranges, 8-12 lbs and 12-16 lbs, both at $4.79/lb. The Pitman Family has been raising turkeys in the Central Valley of California since 1954. They have six turkey ranches and recently opened our own processing plant in August 2003. Because we are a small family owned business, they can personally give great customer service. The turkeys are raised the old fashioned way, free-range. Healthy for the turkeys...and for the people who eat them!
