Hello Downtown Grocery Shopper,
We're continuing our month-long birthday celebration (our store opened July 5th 2006) by introducing a new service and a special event, plus our store is again filling fast with the bountiful local-organic Summer harvest:

NEW SERVICE: a Wine Wall
Featuring 24 selections of wines from around the world set in an attractive wood wall. We also feature five white wine selections in the front cooler. Bottles of wine range in price from under $7.00 to $24.00.

SPECIAL EVENT: Tapas Wednesday with Wine Tasting
We're holding a wine tasting event from 4-6 PM this July 18th and we'll feature Tapas, a Spanish-style appetizer, to be sold by the piece to complement the wine sampling. Our wine guy, Mark, will provide informal and informative conversations about wine and food.

LOCAL SUMMER HARVEST: Enjoy the local-organic produce filling our baskets
The Summer Harvest has been arriving the past several weeks and this week in particular the harvest has been bountiful. Here's a sampling of the local-organic produce that are filling our baskets:
- Green Tomatoes for your fried tomato recipes
- Fresh Dill sold by the stock
- Squash of various shapes and sizes, such as Patty Pan
- Green Onions
- Kohlrabi
- New Red Pontiac Potatoes
- Cucumbers
- Swiss Chard from Moonshadow Farm
- Cilantro from Moonshadow Farm
- Three Basils from Moonshadow Farm: Lemon, Thai, Italian Large Leaf.
Also, tomorrow Wednesday is our primary produce delivery day for items not sourced locally or not yet harvested around here, such as citrus and apples.
