Spring 2007 "Crop" Rotations (Crop = Art)
This past Friday we held a "Crop" Rotation Party --- Crops meaning art where we replaced painting (or crops) that had been hanging in our store/gallery since July with paintings created by 6th, 7th and 8th graders at John Muir Middle School. Their theme was "Fruits, Vegetables and Grains" and Kim Sample teaches a once-a-week art class from February through April ending in this exhibition on the walls of Downtown Grocery! Chris Mosse, our weekday cook, donated materials and Downtown Grocery donated wall space, and this past Friday we held a party for the eleven young artists and their parents and friends. We served cookies and punch, and we'll feature their paintings for several months.
