Hello Downtown Grocery Shopper,
We hope you are in good spirts despite the signs of Spring that arrived and then they went away. Well, Good News, the signs of Spring are here to stay at Downtown Grocery because:
We've Fresh-Cut Salad Greens from the Greenhouse!
Yes, Spring has arrived in the greenhouse at Moonshadow Farm where Blaine has been busy fresh-cutting mixed salad greens. Then we package them into Grab-and-go Eight Ounce Packets at $4.99 each!

Also new this past week are three varieties of sliced bread!
Whole Wheat, Rye and Pumpernickel --- by Rubschalger Baking in Chicago. The breads are sweetened with either molasses or evaporated cane juice versus with high fructose corn syrup as with most ready-to-eat sliced breads priced at $2.59 for a 1 lb 8 oz loaf with 16 slices.

We've our own new breads too. Baked Monday nights and available Tuesday mornings. We fresh mill wheat berries for use in two types of breads:
Traditional Loafs --- Fresh-milled Whole Wheat Bread with a delicious-looking dark brown high loft ready for you to slice at home. We forgot our some of traditional bread pans this Monday evening, so we baked some of the loaves into square and mini loaf shapes with the pans we had available.
Muffins in Fun Flavors --- Such as Whole Wheat Muffins with Raspberries and Figs OR WW Muffins with Mango and Almonds.
