Hello Downtown Grocery Shopper,
This is a special report on our Grand Opening Two-day Event taking place today and tomorrow, Friday Dec. 15th and Saturday Dec. 16th! Our old-fashioned neighborhood grocery store opened July 5th, 2006, and our energetic grocery team has since developed a great rhythm. Help us celebrate the Holiday Season with food samples from local vendors and bite-size samples of favorite food items from our own kitchen, Deliberations (an urban deli)! Friday, 10:00-5:30 --- Sartori Foods, Antigo, WI --- Jack Anderson, Sartori Foods (formerly called the Antigo Cheese Company) will offer samples of many cheeses, such as Asiago, Romano, and specialties such as Stravecchio Double-aged Parmesan that was awarded the 2006 Gold Medal and "Best US Cow Cheese" at the World Cheese Awards, London, England. Friday, 11:30-1:30 --- Pripps Sugar Bush, Butternut, WI --- Greg Pripps will offer samples of granulated maple sugar and talk about its unique history, for example, according to the journals of early explorers dated 1609, Native Americans made maple syrup and maple sugar long before the earliest settlers set.
